New Landscaping

Facelift for our Main Entrance Gardens

An experienced landscaper has been advising on which indigenous and ‘water-wise’ plants are best. Let’s hope the summer rains will complement the work.

New Technology at Rosehaven

Rosehaven’s management have taken up the offer of free installation of Fibre Optic cables on the premises. Any resident wanting to have broad-band for their computers can now contract with Vumatel for this service.

Conserving Our Water Resources

The summer rains are late and with impending stringent water restriction measures, we at Rosehaven have decided on some of our own steps. Our borehole water times have been split for the different sections. Also, residents who use mains supply water for their pot plants have been requested to water before 6 am or after 6 pm every day. We hope and pray for regular rain this season!

A Welcome Break for Noeleen and Terry

Recently our Admin Manager and her husband had a wonderful holiday in America and Canada. They spent three very busy days sight-seeing in New York before taking an East Coast Cruise, past New England and Maine to Nova Scotia. They also toured around Rhode Island, taking in the sights in the ‘playground of the real rich & famous.’ Thereafter they took a coach tour inland, stopping off to visit a working Amish farm to witness life in the slow lane. Then it was on to the historic Gettysburg followed by Washington DC with all the touristy sights.

Keeping Cool in this Summer Heat

At Rosehaven we sure are lucky that there is an oasis where we can cool off on these hot and dry days of summer. Considering the importance of keeping fit and healthy, there is no better form of exercise than enjoying the cool waters of our pool.

Movie Time!

Residents who like to go to a movie need not bother driving to Sandton or Hyde Park to do so. As part of our social activities, we can now enjoy a movie show on our ‘big screen’ TV. Anyone for popcorn?

The Forthcoming Festive Season

At Rosebank Union Church the Sixty Plus Club will be having a Christmas Dinner on 25th November. The popular Carols by Glow Stick will take place on 4th December. Also our Rosehaven Christmas Cocktail Evening will be held soon.
